  • Legs: The viscosity of The Macallan Edition No. 4 is medium-bodied. Slow-moving legs. A smooth and oily texture.

Nose

  • Aromas: The initial aromas are dominated by the influence of sherry casks, offering a delightful interplay of notes.
  • Fruit and Nut: Dried fruits like raisins and prunes, with a touch of walnut and even a hint of citrus, are revealed.
  • Spicy: Cinnamon and black pepper add complexity and warmth.
  • Other: Hints of honey, vanilla, and even some floral notes emerge aside the dominant presence of sherry.

Complexity: The Macallan Edition No. 4 nose is known for its beautiful balance. Sherry notes intertwine seamlessly with hints of malty sweetness and subtle oak influences. As the whisky opens up, more subtle aromas like biscuit, orange and milk chocolate emerge, revealing the depth and complexity of the spirit.
